These are supplied with quality input materials such as stalk cuttings and are given advice on climate smart agriculture practices such as use of manure , mulching and rain water harvesting, among others to ensure that the crop grows in a sustainable way.
Farmers are advised on the right time of harvesting and post – harvest handling methods to ensure that they supply quality raw materials to Yildi enterprises limited for further processing which is mainly extraction of essential oils by steam distillation and grinding powders are blended with locally produced tea leaves to produce Yildi flavored black tea products in loose tea / fine crystals and tea bags for both local and export market.
Yildi enterprises limited is the leading producer of Yildi flavored black tea in Uganda it’s products are currently on market in different supermarkets and shops in Kabale town, the neighbouring districts and exported in East African Countries with the largest market in Rwanda.
Our brands include Yildi lemon grass flavored black tea , Yildi Ocimum Suave flavored black tea , Yildi Vanilla flavored black tea, Yildi Ginger flavored black tea, Yildi Masala tea and Yildi Dawa tea.
It’s role is to promote agriculture through agro – processing and value addition to transform local raw materials into competitive marketable products. It’s blended tea leaves has high demand, on market due to its pleasant Aroma and the medicinal uses creating a room for ready market both local and international. Its internal market analysis shows readiness in consumer satisfaction giving it opportunity for extended production.
It’s from this background that the company is seeking additional financing of Ugandan shillings 498, 970, 860 for construction of factory premise stock reasonable raw materials, packaging raw materials, installation of automated value production chain machinery, delivery services in Bushuro Kitumba Sub – county Kabale Uganda. Given the possible support the company will be able to address its challenges that are hindering production and eventually address on youth employment.

The business was started in 2011 and registered on 12th September 2012 with Uganda registration service Bureau. The idea was a response to realization that majority of people still rely on traditional medicine for their every day health care needs and like spiced beverages.
Tea leaves being a necessity in most households, Yildi opted to blend in with lemon grass and Ocimum Suave both medicinal plants with enticing aroma to have Yildi flavored black tea on market. To have quality products on market we embarked on product standardization and achieved the following.
Applied for product analysis on 19th September 2012 with Uganda industrial research institute and received Test certificate 25th September 2012.
Registered the business name on 12th September 2013 with URSB to market our products legally and in may 2016 the business was incorporated.
Applied for product certification with Uganda National Bureau of Standards ( UNBS) in January 2014 and we were granted UNBS standard mark in July 2014 currently our product have a UNBS distinctive mark.
