Marian Ofori Twumasi, a seasoned agribusiness expert with 14+ years of experience, is the 2021 National Best Youth Farmer and recipient of the AGI’s prestigious Dr Esther Ocloo’s Award 2023. As CEO of Mariseth Farms, she oversees operations across Ghana, Burkina Faso, Togo, Ivory Coast and Benin, spanning: – 400 acres of oil palm plantation – 300 acres of soya beans – 200 acres of maize – 100 acres of cocoa – 60,000 catfish – 50 beehives – 300 rabbits – 100 ducks and geese – State-of-the-art Oil Palm Processing plant Marian has successfully grown her staff strength of 3 in 2016 to 134 currently (34 permanent, 100 contract), with 70% and 45% women, respectively. She partners with 9,000 smallholder farmers, 89% of whom are young women. Mariseth Farms produces, processes and aggregates agricultural products, notably oil palm (400 acres), soya beans (300 acres), Maize (200), Shea Nuts, and Sesame Seed for sale to domestic and international marketsIts staff has grew from 3 in 2016 to 134 (34 permanent, 100 contract), with 70% and 45% women, respectively over its operational areas in Ghana, Burkina Faso, Togo, Benin and Ivory Coast.
