Yildi enterprises limited work innovatively with small holder farmers mainly the youth and women through an out grower scheme for all raw materials. We organize the youth and women into value chains as producer groups.
These are supplied with quality input materials such as stalk cuttings and are given advice on climate smart agriculture practices such as use of manure, mulching and rain water harvesting among others to ensure that the crop grows in a sustainable way.
Farmers are advised on the right time of harvesting and post – harvest handling methods to ensure for further processing which is mainly extraction of essential oils by steam distillation and grinding powders. The extracted essential oils and grinding powders are blended with locally produced tea leaves to produce Yildi flavored black tea products and tea bags for both local and export market.

The business was started in 2011 and registered on 12th September 2012 with Uganda registration services Bureau. The idea was a response to realization that majority of people still rely on traditional medicine for their everyday health care needs.
Tea being a necessity in most households, Yildi opted to blend in with lemon grass and Ocimum suave both medicinal plants with enticing Aroma to have Yildi flavored black tea on market.
