Founder and Managing Director NAKI GROUP LIMITED (NAKI), a mediumsized sunflower oil business located in Katesh, Hanang’ DC, Manyara Region. Anna is the holder of Bachelor of Commerce and Accounting with experience in Banking Industry, leadership, gender issues. Under Anna’s guidance, NAKI business started with a small oil pressing machine manged by one employee (herself) in 2012, and since then it has expanded significantly, now employing 9 full-time staff, 5 of these are youth and women in 2024 and full oil extraction.
NAKI GROUP LIMITED deals with sunflower seeds processing and marketing sunflower cooking oil in Manyara Region. Vision Statement: To become local and international benchmark in the production and marketing of edible oil in Tanzania by 2030.Mission Statement: To be the most cost-effective manufacturer of edible oil in Manyara sourcing raw materials from small Holder farmers. Our primary goal is to exploit gaps in sunflower oil business value chain to create opportunity for growth for mutual benefits. Creating win-win business models with underserved communities, such as the 750 youth and women smallholder sunflower producers by support and link them to inputs suppliers and access to finance.NAKI promotes direct market access with limited involvement of brokers, achieved through 56 VSLAs group leaders, these initiatives help lift these communities out of poverty and reducing price asymmetry and inequalities which is in line with SDG 1: No Poverty. Better price offered to farmers enhances food security and youth managing aggregation generate their income and they return to their villages with edible oil, and thus enhance income ( SDG 2: Zero Hunger and SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth).
