I am Babirye Angella, an accountant ,entrepreneur and Agripreneur dedicated to serve humanity and bring a positive impact in my community. I am the Founder and CEO of Lamalo Essentials. Our company specializes in agribusiness, specifically adding value to seeds. Dedicated to community welfare, I engage in various community projects. Lamalo Essentials emerged during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic, driven by a diverse leadership primarily composed of women and youth. Our company specializes in agribusiness, focusing on seed value addition. Through the production of cold-pressed seed oils like shea butter, Neem oil, sesame oil, roasted sesame oil, cocoa butter etc . We use these same oils to make natural eco friendly handmade soaps like Africa soap, avocado soaps, etc we offer highly nutritious, eco-friendly, and healthy products to our discerning customers. We prioritize ethical sourcing by procuring our raw materials, primarily seeds, from smallholder farmers in Uganda. This approach not only ensures fair compensation for their labor but also fosters appreciation for their contributions. We actively engage with these farmers to safeguard seed trees such as neem and shea, combating their depletion due to activities like charcoal production. Furthermore, we recognize the importance of providing comprehensive support to our community and smallholder farmers. Through tailored training programs, we impart essential skills ranging from post-harvest handling to financial management. Collaborating with partner organizations, we extend practical workshops on crafting items like handcrafted soaps and liquid soaps, utilizing local resources such as banana fibers. Our commitment to environmental stewardship is evident in our eco-friendly product range and tree-planting initiatives. By cultivating income-generating trees like castor, moringa, shea, neem, and fruit trees, we contribute to both ecological preservation and economic sustainability. we actively contribute to societal progress by sponsoring the education of two girls, recognizing the transformative power of education in uplifting communities. As we continue to expand, we aim to empower more youths and women, create additional employment opportunities, and enhance community well-being. Every purchase from Lamalo Essentials indirectly supports smallholder farmers in Uganda and promotes child education, aligning with Sustainable Development Goals such as SDG 1 (No Poverty), SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 5 (Gender Equality), and SDG 13 (Climate Action).
