Professor Adanna Henri-Ukoha is currently a Professor and the Head of Department, Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness Management, University of Port Harcourt Choba, Nigeria. Prof Adanna is the CEO of Hanncef International, an agribusiness firm based in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. Hanncef occupies the production, processing and marketing stages of the broiler value chain. She is involved in consultancy services and is presently the Coordinator- Agribusiness in Alpha Zomax Consultants (AZC) Inc. based in the United States. She also belongs to and holds leadership positions in several professional associations. She is an Ignite Alumni. She has won several research grants, travel grants and awards bordering on climate change and other environmental issues in fragile communities. No wonder she was recognized by African Institute for Mathematical Sciences Women in Science (AIMS-WIS) for her contributions in climate change research in 2019. Her works are visible in SCORPUS, Google Scholar, LinkedIn, Research gate, Academia Edu.
Hanncef is an agribusiness outfit involved in broiler production, processing and marketing, occupying the three stages of the agricultural value chain. Hanncef is also involved in training of the women and youths in agribusiness with the mandate of getting chicken to the doorstep of households in Port Harcourt city and its environs as well as equipping the vulnerable groups with entrepreneurship skills that will provide a sustainable source of livelihood to them.
